Payment | Shipping | SHOP INFORMATION Antique Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk Damier Pattern w/inserts - No Reserve Up for auction is this antique signed Louis Vuitton steamer trunk. Measures 35 inches across by 20 inches deep by 19.50 inches tall. Has all the usual signed hardware; lock, clasps, tacks, leather edging etc. Upscale model with Damier pattern, zinc bottom and the brass handles. Interior has three partitioned bins on the bottom of the trunk with a small three compartment tray that slides in and then is covered by the full size tray. Sports a huge interior label which lists the London and Paris shop addresses and states "Quote above number (Serial number #105629) to duplicate". Lock Number 03637 Condition: This trunk was recently discovered in a Newport, Rhode Island mansion last fall, so while it has a great look, it is not perfect. Ii is structurally sound, with some wear and crackling on the leather edging and the wallpaper. The lock spring is broken and the hasp insert was cut at one point, so while the lock closes, it will not lock. No missing hardware. Has all four wheels. Interior has some staining and is still a bit musty. Monogrammed with GHB on each side. Pictures show all. S/I/T in the U.S. is estimated at $200.00. Great overseas rates as well.
