This week I have the privilege of offering a collection of antique swords, each with no reserve and a ninety-nine cent starting bid! I am no expert on this type of collectible, so please ask questions! I value and welcome the input from the community experts, and will post all comments! After several hours of attempting to identify some of the pieces, I noted that this particular sword appears to match the picture and description of the M1860 US Staff and Field and Officers Sword. It is approximately 33 inches overall, including scabbard. The stamped marking looks like a bear, and is also marked Made in Germany. It appears in very good condition, with some wear to the leather handle, as pictured. The blade is clean and rust free, with expected scabbard wear. The top of the handle gaurd is slightly loose at the pommel. This old sword looks great when displayed! Don't miss the opportunity to add this one to your collection!
