Hard to Find Antique Maddock's American China "Southern Pacific" Railroad Plate--A No Reserve Auction! We are offering for your bidding this Maddock's china plate made for the Southern Pacific Railroad. These wares were used in the first-class dining cars. We believe that the plate dates back to about 1900 - 1912 given the type of Maddock's mark on the back of the plates. The front has sort of a flow-blue transfer all around, and the circle on the front reads, "Southern Pacific Company, Sunset Ogden and Shasta Routes" and features a graphic sunset and railroad tracks. The plate is in excellent condition, and is incise marked Maddock's American China and also the Maddock's stamp mark that reads "Vitrified Maddock's American China" with a flying eagle. The plate measures approximately 9" in diameter. We will be listing a ton of antique porcelain and china this week. We have been avid collectors and sellers of antiques for the past 37 years.
