Offeredis a wonderful bamboo and bone handmade Chinese Mah Jong set from 1924. At that time so many of these sets were made by "cottage industries" in small remote villages. The craftsmanship is amazing when you see the inlay of bone and bamboo with the exact size repeating over and over. The embossed tiles are hand painted on every tile except for the few blanks. · There are 36 tiles in each in each of the four trays (144) · Betting and/or Counting Sticks (118) · Tiny dice in a wooden box with slide lid (4) · Very small container with tiny discs (not sure how to open it) · Original Instruction Book (47 pages) dated May 1924 This is a very beautiful set. I have never used it, but bought it for it's unique beauty. The box is less than perfect, but it's all there, except for a 2" section of a lid side flap. I didn't think to photograph the backs of the tiles until someone asked, therefore photo #10 shows the uniformity of the bamboo.
