You are bidding on an Antique Designer Crotch Mahogany China Cabinet Breakfront Secretary Desk & Bookcase. This piece was VERY well made and a RARE find because of its size, age and beauty and it has beautiful Inlays with nice lattice work over the glass. It has 6 beautifully curved bowfront drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with brass pull handles that have a embroidery pattern etched into the brass itself. The top drawer folds down and opens to the secretary desk with pigeon holes and a small door at the center with 2 small drawers. All the doors have brass mortise locking mechanisms so they can be individually locked and does have a key. The inside of glass doors have adjustable shelving with grooves at the back for plate displaying and the bottom doors have shelves with plenty of cabinet space. Throughout the piece has a beautiful stringing inlay design in Satinwood with a nicely arched top and 4 carved finials as well. The center also has a square inlaid motif at the center in a crotch mahogany. Its made of a beautiful exotic flame / crotch mahogany wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures.
