This is an old clerks/Plantation desk with a bookcase top and a short writing surface. The base has one drawer and stands on tall legs. The top has a bookcase section, on top of a desk section that has its own doors. Inside the blind doors of the desk section are some tray drawers. Some of the glass in the top is the old wavy glass. The bookcase section is put together with dovetailing top and bottom. The bookcase section of this piece appears to be older than the base part. T is lots of finish ware on the doors, with nice patina. Itâe(tm)s a nice looking Plantation desk. 38 wide, 74 ½ high overall, 29 ½ high to writing surface, 19 ½ deep base, 12 deep bookcase C 1890 PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING You are bidding on a piece of quality pre-owned furniture. âeoePre-ownedâe means that t will be normal wear and tear on the piece. Please allow 10 days for personal checks to clear our bank before item is shipped. KY residents please add 6% sales tax to your total. By bidding on this auction you are entering into a binding contract. We reserve the right to re-list or sell this item if payment is not received within 10 days of auction close and /or if no response to our confirmation email is received within 5 days of auction close. If you do not intend to purchase and pay for this item, please do not bid. Also, we reserve the right to end our listing early if the item sells in our gallery. Our shipping is handled on an individual item basis. Please allow 14 days for handling. We use Vintage Transport (blanket wrap carrier), RL Carriers (freight), Danville Mailing Center and our own truck. If for some reason you are not satisfied with the shipping quote we provide you are more than welcome to coordinate your own shipping arrangements. We will be happy to pack your item and have it ready for pickup by your designated carrier, however t will be a $50.00 handling charge added to your total for packing and materials. Our freight carriers require a phone number for delivery, please provide that number @ checkout. If you choose inside delivery service please be aware that someone must be present to help the driver unload your shipment and carry it just inside the premises. It is not the drivers responsibility to place the item in your home.
