Please read all text and terms and be sure to super size the photos below. This auction offers you the opportunity to bid ona very unique and lovely made mahogany victorian settee sofa bench. Great Victorian design with a high serpentine seat back with fluted stick & ball style spindle. It has a high serpentine crest seat back and rolled arm rests also supported with the same fluted spindle supports. Someone put a layer of fabric over the original old fabric which is still underneath. As you can see in the photos, the original old springs need to be retied and I would think you would want to reupholster it. It is a very heavy duty made solid mahogany bench that is in need of simple restoration. It is surprisingly heavy weighing about 75-90 lbs.Looks to date to around the turn of the century late 1800's - early 1900's. It is very ornate with classic victorian trim work throughout. It is a sturdy made settee sofa bench that stands 38" high and is 50" long by 27" in depth from front to back with the seat sitting approx 16" from the floor. With a little bit of TLC, you will have a phenominal settee sofa bench that will present well in any home with fine antique decor. It will be selling with an opening bid of $5 as do almost all of our auctions, with no reserve price set. Any bid can win!
