a classic piece of antique American Majolica in the pattern known as " CAULIFLOWER" from the Griffen, Smith & Hill Pottery of Phoenixville, PA circa 1879 - 1892 51/4" tall, 8 1/2" span spout to handle, 5" wide body This piece has beautiful color! The interior is glazed Hot Pink. A hint of the slightly lavender pink color is also used on the edges of the outer leaves. The finial on the lid of this tea pot is shaded GREEN - more like a Broccoli Florette than Cauliflower! Condition : Very Good + There are 2 tiny chips on the spout, one nick to the tip of the handle - an old chip to the inner rim of the pot and a newer flake type chip to the inside of the lid - some areas where the glaze has worn thin - very fine overall crazing. NO cracks, and NO repairs! Mark : early impressed mark - intertwined 'GSH' logo - followed with 'E.13'
