Antique German or English Majolica Plate/Charger Wild Roses Blossom Scrolled Rim This wonderful Majolica plate came from an exceptional family Estate Auction held in the Midwest. Owner collected all things Majolica, lined the walls, and this is one of several pieces purchased from her estate. I am faaaar from being a Majolica expert and have no idea the country of origin. Has that English Blue glaze and the scrolled "basketweave" styled rim, but might be German, with the molded center of the plate decoration. Thought the raised sprig of wild roses buds with intertwined leaves and blossoms delightful. T are no cracks, chips, or repairs to this plate, but perhaps, under a loupe, some minor flecks which I have not detected. Measurements 8" Marked/Stamped A or ??? T is an ink-stamp on the back of the plate. And I have know idea about the piece of masking tape on the back either. I think the plate has a fantastic look. Love the contrasting Cobalt Blue glaze, vibrant Reds, and touches of Mocha Browns which highlight the rich Green leaves. It's a sweet and colourful plate/charger. It's Bright, cheerful, and intricately patterned. Nicely patterned rim with exquisite wild rosebuds and leaves in the center of the plate. It's ornate, authentic, and FUN! Just has a great Old World feel. Would add a fresh touch of elegance to compliment your existing collection and decor. If you have questions, need a few more pictures, not a problem, willing to assist. I shall wrap your English/German Majolica Rosebud Plate with extreme care and ship it to you within one day. The new owner is to pay $7.50 for Fully Insured USPS Shipping within the United States. Am very happy to combine Shipping on Estate Majolica Collection. All my THANKS! GOOD LUCK! All Cheers, A- I MEANT TO SAY...I have NO IDEA about the masking tape on the back of the plate....NO IDEA, NONE! thanks, and all cheers, A-
