Antique MAKAH INDIAN BASKET very fine weave Early 1900's, polychrome design, UNUSUAL Antique Makah or Nootka American Indian basket with lid, 3 ¾" in diameter and 2 ¾" tall. Very finely woven in four colors (natural, orange, green and purple). Tight, small weave is much finer than usually seen on baskets of this type. Early 1900's vintage; excellent condition. We can find no damage or missing stitches; t is some dustiness to the lid. A great addition to any collection of early Indian baskets, antique Makah or Nootka weavings or other vintage Native Americana. SCARCE!NOTE: We have acquired two antique Indian baskets from the same estate; they are pictured together below. This auction is for the basket on the right; the other is listed separately.
