Hi, up for bid is a pair of antique decoys, a male and a female merganza. Both are made from solid wood and have red amber glass eyes. Both have an attatched ballass weight under them. The female measures: 16" long and 6" wide. A split on the top of the head for inserting feathers. Body is a dark brown and her head is brown. Cream colored feather strokes. The male measures 15 1/4" long and 6" wide. One white neck ring and the body is a very dark brown/black. Wears a really funky feather design. Both are all hand painted with no touch ups or repairs what so ever. Their condition is nicely aged with strong folk art appeal. The female has some bird shot wounds while the male has a few near the neck area. More photo's upon request, I could only put in 12. Both come with lead weight sinkers as shown in photo #1.
