For Sale: Phillipine Dayak Headhunter's Sword! Up for sale tonight is an excellent condition Dayak sword. I am thinning down some of my weapons collection to make room, so my loss is your gain! This sword is in amazing condition and an excellent showpiece! The dog-head shaped handle is hand carved and in beautiful condition, with a small section of wire wapping. There is no damage or looseness at all, and all of the wire is tight and undamaged. The blade widens a bit over its length and terminates in a typical hawk-beak design, with a cutout back edge and a beautiful cutout that resembles an eye. On the backside of the blade are inset circles and stars that seem to be brass and copper that run in a design of 4 brass circles to 1 copper star. The blade is in extremely clean condition and fairly sharp. The scabbard is an amazing work of carved wood (teak?) that is carved with swirls and leaves on one side. It is wrapped at three different spots with very ornate knots and includes two hanging loops that might be reed? The wood shows some very light rubbing wear at spots but all of the wrapping and hangers are perfect without any breaks, tears, or other wear.
