Antique Manganese glazed ovoid handled redware jug from the early 1800's. Probably from Pennsylvania. Rare impressive large size, measuring 11" in height, 8 1/2" at its widest point, and 6" at its base. Great bulbous shape in excellent condition with minor crazing, minimal loss to glaze in one spot, no cracks. Excellent patina. A great and rare piece for advanced collectors of redware and americana.
