You are bidding on an Antique Flame Mahogany Commode Dresser Chest Martha Washington Sewing Table. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the Late 19th Century Circa 1880 American made. This piece was made and of the HIGHEST quality with beautiful Mahogany and original Cyrstal Glass Pull Handles with brass trim that was all beautifully done with drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together. It sits on beautifully tapered and rounded legs with reeded trim work and sits on brass caster wheels. Each side has beautiful flip top cmpartments which is why they call this a Marha Washinton Table or Sewing Table or stand. This is a much rarer find because its larger than most that were made and each side has BEAUTIFULLY scallop cut edges that were beautifully done and although may be hard to see they show the mortise joint at each side of the beautifully curved cabinets. It has a beautiful and exotic naturally figured wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures with a beautifully bookmatched mahogany wood grain. Because of its size it can be used in a hallway or foyer, dining room, bedroom, living room and anyw else throughout your home as a beautiful accent piece that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation and is an heirloom quality piece which these are getting very hard to find. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything that is made today and all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall this piece is in excellent shape.
