This is an old sword & scabbard from The RCU Knights of St. John. Please view all the photos to see the condition of the sword and scabbard. We haven't tried to clean or polish either piece. The blade is straight. Sword and scabbard show overall wear. The blade is tight in the handle. The ornate piece with RCU and brass ring on the handle is a little loose. The scabbard does have a dent in the center of the back. (see photo). The overall length of the sword is 35 1/4" long. The blade is 28" long. One side of the sword is marked RCU Knights of St. John, the other side has the name James Duggan. It is hard to make out but the top of the blade is marked Benziger Bros. Cincinnati.
