This is a fantastic antique masonic knights templar ceremonial sword still with the original scabbard, cloth liner and leather carrying case. The sword and scabbard together is 40 1/2" long while the sword alone is 39" long. The sword hilt and scabbard have insets of enamel and the handle hilt has a bonelike quality to it. The top of the hilt has a knight's head and the hilt is engraved with the original owner's initials on one side and a cross on the other. Both the sword and the scabbard have the owners' name on it. The sword is also decorated with a knight holding a flag on one side and knights on horses chasing through an oasis in the desert on the other. It includes the original cloth protector and the original leather carrying case with the owners' name and Palestine Commandery on it. The leather case has many scuffs and creases on it but the sword has obviously been cared for beautifully. I could only find one tiny hairline in the white part of the hilt as seen in the pics. It is a gorgeous sword and a fine addition to any fraternal masonic or knights templar collection.
