You are bidding on an Antique Portrait Oil Painting in Carved Frame. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and is an original oil painting that was signed and dated by VERY WELL listed artist Emmanuel Auguste Masse (1818 - 1881) who is listed in the Davenport, Artprice, Askart and many other art indexes. This is an original oil on Canvas that is dated Circa 1833 that depicts a beautiful portrait of a Woman set in a nice interior in the background and is of of Museum Size and Quality measuring over 2 Feet Wide and almost 3 Feet Tall which was signed and dated Circa 1833. This was beautifully done from her facial features and expressions down to the beautiful detail in her clothing of the time period. This was very well done in both color and clarity from the distinctive charcateristics of her facial features and expressions down to her mannerisms and the beautiful detail in her clothing from the time period. The painting has very fine detail with beautiful shades of tonalism and gives warmth and charcater in the painting with fine brush strokes and color tones that were very well blended from even the nice satin laced clothing that she wears from the time period. The painting of the Woman could be a form of expression through the artist of Love, Tranquility, Home, Family, Tradition, Friendship, Sensuality, Memories and can mean so many things to so many different people.
