Found among my Great-Grandfathers things. Victorian era mechanical pencil. Appears to be gold filled. No markings. Large red gem on finial. It looks like it unscrews to store extra leads. Tip may be missing. I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like. A thin wire extends and retracts when the extended portion is turned. Collar on barrel extends and retracts tip. REVISED: Picture of pencil tip extended showing wire added per bidder request.
