Up for bid is an amber antique medicine bottle that was made by a semi-automatis bottle machine from the 1920-1930's era. Used in that era to treat coughs, colds, aches, pains and increase the appetite with the extract of Cannabis Indica, (Marijuana), Chloroform and other questionable valued ingredients. This is the printed information I got from an original label that I have from another bottle I own. Company established in 1869 in Warren, Pa. In 1910 the federal government published a bulletin of habit forming drugs that were a menace to the public welfare and advised to strongly avoid, (PISO was on the list). Also in 1910 the first newspaper article was printed to label this hemp cure as a "KILLER WEED". The company stayed in business until the Federal Government passed the Marijuana law in 1936 banning this drug from any medicines. This small size bottle has sunken panels on all sides with mold seams running all the way up the sides. Hard to find in this nice condition, stands 5-1/2" tall, with no chips, cracks or wear. T are some content stains inside, but never cleaned or soaked. It's embossed vertically on side panel: "TRADE-PISO-MARK" and other side is; "PISO CO. WARREN, PA. U.S.A.".
