This is a great find! These are lovely old hina dolls from the Meiji Era, probably about 100 years old. They've in very good condition for their age. Their faces are made of hand-carved gofun and the empress has lovely embroidery on her sleeves. They come with traditional accessories -sword and hat for the Emperor and crown and fan for the Empress. Both dolls have some of their original hair, which is rare for dolls this old. The empress has lost her hair under her crown, but still has hair on the sides and back. The dolls are about 11 inches tall without hat or crown, and about 12 inches wide. Their faces are clean and in great shape for the age. Lovely old dolls! Shipping is $7.00 for the U.S. International buyers pay actual shipping.
