~ Welcome to Gracie 's Garden ~ This is a complete set of antique Meriden Silver Plate Co., "Embassy Silverplate," silverware! The set comes with the original "Guarantee" Certificate and case! T are 26 pieces in the set; service for 6. The pieces are as follows: 6 Dinner Knives 6 Forks 6 Big Spoons, maybe Cream Soup Spoons? 6 Teaspoons 1 Butter/Jam Spreader Knife 1 Sugar Spoon The certificate reads as follows: "Made by master craftsmen - All pieces of silverplated flatware in this design, trademarked EMBASSY SILVERPLATE are plated with pure silver on a nickel silver base. Knives have mirror stainless blades with plated handles. Every piece is guaranteed against original defects in workmanship and material. Meriden Silver Plate Co. Meriden Connecticut." All are marked "Embassy Silverplate," except for the dinner knives, which are marked stainless on the blades. None of the pieces have ever been monogrammed! The set is in need of a cleaning/polishing. It weighs in at 3 1/2 pounds.
