Bought from an elderly lady at a private sale in south Florida (Claims the pickle caster was handed down from family members), It was in her glass display case for years. Signed/stamped MERIDIAN Co. on lower foot. Original lid and tongs. Guaranteed old and of quality workmanship. Wonderful beveled glass insert. The silver or silver plated frame (not sure which) BUT ASSUME PLATED. HAS GREAT INTRICATE DETAIL. On the original lid is a dove with child. It has 4 elongated feet. The beveled glass insert is in mint condition. The base has Dove's on branches, on lower level. Attractive finial on lid. Stands 12 1/4" HIGH. This is a quality piece of history.
