Meriden B. Company No. 5 Silver plated Pickle Castor With Tongs Victorian Period This auction is for a Victorian Period Meriden B. Compay "5" silver plated pickle castor which measures to the stand point, 10+ inches, base of stand is 4+ inches wide and from glass bottom to cover tip it is about 7 inches high. We were very lucky to be able to secure this piece from an upstate, NY estate sale after it had been overlooked in with some other merchandise and not found until near the very end of the sale. Because of this good luck we are thrilled to be able to offer it to you at an extremely low starting price and with no reserve! Don't lose out on this great deal! The pickle castor is overall in very good condition. We do not polish anything we purchase and prefer to allow the Buyer to use the methods of their choice on cleaning an item so this item has not been polished and tfore is not as shiney as it would be if silver polish was used on it.It has the original bird claw tongs which are held by the original hook on the side of the stand itself, original leaded crystal glass pickle holder and silver plated stand and lid.
