Antique Micro Mosaic Brooch, St. Peter's Square,Great workmanship. NO RES Album Album This outstanding micro mosaic brooch has wonderful workmanship with a detailed scene of St. Peter's Square in the Vatican City.It is composed of tiny pieces of tile to form the scene set in a black onyx frame.It dates to about 1900.The onyx frame has a crack in the back which also shows at the bottom of the front.The pin on the back is not original and was evidently put on by a previous owner who wanted a safety catch to feel more secure when wearing such a fine pice of jewelry.
