US Hwy 441 Lady Lake, FL 32159 Antique Miller 928 Brass VICTORIAN Converted Oil Lamp Powered by AuctionSound is a gorgeous and ornate antique brass converted oil lamp by Miller, style number 928. I believe this was a Juno lamp but as the original lid was replaced when the lamp was electrified this cannot be verified. Beautiful details: lovely floral and scroll handles, decorative floral pieces on both sides of drum, intricate detailing along top rims, and a handsome floral motif metal four-footed base. Included are two glass pieces: the original 9 3/4" glass chimney in perfect condition, and a 9 7/8" white milk glass scalloped shade which fits onto the three-prong shade spider. The milk glass shade has a few very very small chips along the bottom edge, noticeable only upon close inspection and certainly not structurally damaging. Lamp works perfectly, but wiring is old so I would suggest updating the wiring for safety's sake. Bottom of the base is marked with "MILLER" and "928". In excellent vintage condition, some very light wear and small scratches, but no dings, cracks, dents, or other structural damage. Has acquired a lovely brass patina over time, which I would leave, but I will let the new owner decide to polish or not to polish. Measures 22 1/2" tall with shade, 15 1/2" tall to top of bulb socket, 11" across from handle to handle. All pieces will be double-boxed for safe transport. Package measures 24" x 24" x 20" and weighs twelve pounds, fourteen ounces. A great find for the Miller collector! We ask that the winning bidder pay within three days of end of auction.
