Antique Miller Kerosene Lamp Original Green Cased Shade Antique Miller Kerosene Oil Lamp with the Original Green Cased Glass Shade. I believe the correct style for these lamps is kerosene rather than oil but I suppose either would suffice. This lamp has been electrified and has a fine cord and socket ready to use immediately as a wonderful old table lamp. All the original parts are included - check my photos. It comes with the old fine glass chimney and the magnificent green cased glass shade with ribbed pattern. Measures about 21" high to the top of the chimney, the shade is 10" wide and 6" high, the base is 6 3/8" wide. Marked E Miller as shown - guaranteed a genuine old Miller lamp. It was electrified professionally and works perfectly. The glass shade has no cracks or chips - the bottom edge has normal roughness from time of manufacuture, you will never find one nicer. Edward Miller and Company of Connecticut was one of the largest manufacturers of both round and flat wick burners in the United States of America. The most common lamp size the company produced for domestic lighting was the Miller No.2 which had a one and a half inch diameter round wick. This unit gave out a reputed 60 candlepower of light.
