Antique mini cabinet photo album from the late 1800's in very good condition for its age. Full of wonderful old family photos and one of President Abraham Lincoln.
This wonderful specimen measure 4-1/2" wide by 5-3/4" high and 2-1/4" deep. The pages are edged in gold paint. The cover is very ornately tooled and shows wear on the edges. The brass clasp still holds tight. The pages have come away from the binding but are still held in place by the pastedowns at front and back. Inside you'll find 25 2-sided cabinet frames. Many still hold photos. The front free end page has pulled away from the hinge but has not separated from the binding.
The pages have some brown age spots but are otherwise in excellent condition with no tears or marks other than some penciled names of the people in the photos. The last cabinet holds the business card for the album: Harding's Editions of the Family & Pulpit Bibles, also arranged for Photographic Portraits.
In all, t are 19 photos. The first is of President Lincoln. Others are identified as Uncle Will Driver, Isaiah Driver, Aunt Betsy Lee, Alice Fisher, Aunt Ruth Hobbs, Uncle Albert Driver, Jim Lee, Vora Fischer, Allie Hobbs, Charles Jump.
A truly wonderful look back in time.
