You are bidding on an antique miniature Koran/Quran housed in a silvery hinged case with a magnified glass inset to help with reading. The Koran has a red leather cover with a gold stamped decorative design all over. On one side, the design does not go all the way to the edge of the book (not sure if this is by design or by wear over time). Also, there are two knicks on the spine (see picture). The pages of the koran have gold gilded edges and are in very good condition (some very minor scuffing on the gilding). The actual Koran measures 1 5/16 inches (3.4 cm) by 13/16 inches (2 cm) by 7/16 inches (1.2 cm). Overall, for the age of this item, it is in very good to excellent condition. The case is a silvery metal case with a tiny loop and a tiny diamond pattern all over. The case snaps closed, but needs to be manipulated a bit due to its age. I would classify the case as in good condition. The size of the case is 1 5/8 inches (4.3 cm) by 1 3/16 inches (3 cm) by .5 inches (1.5 cm). The koran is circa late 19th century.
