GORGEOUS COMMODE SET
Fabulous 4 piece Victorian wash set including a large wash bowl, pitcher, smaller water pitcher and covered soap dish with liner. Black transfer design on ironstone which features an Aesthetic design on the border, sylized flowers with birds, snakes, moths, caterpillars and dragonflies. The pattern name is Japanese. Makers mark on the base M. & Co. Made in Stoke on Trent, England by Minton and dating between 1841 to 1873. A stunning set would enhance any Victorian room decor or collection of black transferware. Measurements - The bowl measures 14 3/4" in diameter and 5" high. The large jug measures 9" wide and 11 3/4" high. The pitcher measures 6" across and 6 7/8" high. The soap dish measures 5" in diameter and 3" high Condition - Very good with light age crazing. No chips or cracks with the exception of the soap dish lid which has a hairline crack.
