This bank was listed last week and finished at $2,150.00 but the high bidder withdrew his bid and Ebay cancelled the auction results and we could not offer to the second highest bidder. We apologize for this but ebay gave us no other option. With 100% feedback you can see that we try very hard to describe our items correctly, answer all questions and package very well and ship promptly and are timely when leaving feedback.This is still a wonderful bank and a comparable one sold last week on a live ebay auction for $8,500 plus a buyer's premium. This wonderful old cast iron mechanical bank was made by The J. & E. Stevens Co., Cromwell, CT in the late 1800's and measures 8 3/8" tall. I purchased this bank from a Ct. estate and was told that the bank had been in the family for years and was purchased when the bank was new. The paint is in very good condition for its age and could use a good cleaning but I will leave that up to you. Place a coin in the monkey's hand, press the lever, and he'll open the coconut and drop the coin in it and as the coin falls his eyes move and his mouth opens.The paint work on this bank is beautiful with tans and browns covering the monkey's body.The monkey
