Antique Mother of God - Madonna & Child Russian IconDear bidder "PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS BELOW" the description and auction terms completely. You should be able to complete the auction with the information listed below. We are selling this wonderful old Russian Icon. It is quite an interesting work thatâe(tm)s sure to become one of your prized collection pieces. This beauty has writing (possibly signature) to left of large figure stating âeoeKAZAHIKIE H Gâe?. It was recently acquired from a high end auction house in Los Angeles . The work is mounted beneath a lovely hand hammered brass frame embossed with the letters âeoeKASHDâe? beneath left side of large halo. It appears to be authentic and definitely has significant age (possibly antique). We are selling âeoeas isâeâe¦see pics. The removable riza/oklad brass frame measures 9-1/4" inch wide x 10-5/8" inch tall x 1/2" inch deep. The painted curved wood icon itself measures 8-5/8" inch wide x 10-1/2" inch tall x 5/8" inch thick. Overall condition is very good for age. The occasional surface nick on the painted icon panel is both cause by (and hidden by) 3-dimesional halo attachments at backside of the riza. Lower panel damage is likely from riza as well. The oklad frame itself is in generally excellent condition for age. You will love this work of art! We are willing to ship/post this work outside of the USA . USPS Priority is only shipping offered for USA or International destinations. Total weight with frame is less than 2 pounds. Shipping weight with matte only will be less than 3 pounds. Wooden icon piece will be shipped separately wrapped from brass frame. Highest bidder to pay all shipping and handling costs. Insurance will be required as well.
