Place Du Theatre Francais Paris Up for auction is a Cabin Style Flat Top Trunk 'Half Trunk' This maker is ranked with Louis Vuitton & Goyard. It has Lv-Goyard Style solid brass hardware and it is impressive. The size is 25 1/2"L X 20"W X 13" H. The Canvas Covering top was already removed when we got the trunk. So the covering was removed at some point. T are three european style oak slats along the top with medium size solid brass nails. The hasp style brass lock is marked 'Depose' on the top and Moynot Fabricant #23. T is a Leather handle under the lock and it has an Embossed flower accent at each end. it is marked with makers name. T was a damaged piece of wood around the right lid hinge but is intact and stable. The handle; end loops are also marked with maker mark. It has 2 original handles, 1 is missing and they have wear. The inside has the original red leather document Pouch with makers insignia name in gold print. It has a super rare paper makers label containing the info' Malles Moynat & Tous Objets De Voyage 13, Rue Capron 5, Pl du Theatre Francais Paris with a nice picture of a stagecoach and drawn Horses. Also On the back is a end edge clamp marked J.J. Cab on one piece of hardware. On the Handle side she has a green and red vertical stripe on the metal bands on both sides. It has both Original recessing Lid stays. The inside was stripped of its lining and is clean and ready to use. No reserve auction!
