Welcome to our listing! In this listing...Mulberry purple & white Staffordshire transfer ware plate.Scene depicts a young couple relaxing on the lawn in front of a castle-like structure. In the background there are two sailboats on the lake, and under the trees you can spot a man riding an elephant!Beautiful Chinoiserie inspired border design alternates large flowers with small vignettes of pagoda-like buildings. Marked on reverse - Indian Temples.Plate measures approximately 9" in diameter.EXCELLENT CONDITION! NO chips, cracks or repairs. Tight overall crazing, consistent with age.Beautiful mulberry purple color!Antique / vintage / estate item.
