Very Rare Large 6 inch long by 2 1/2 inch wide by about 1 1/2 inch thick (when assembled) very pale green (almost white, hence the term "mutton fat") Antique "Mutton Fat" Large Jade Belt Buckle. Very difficult to find a buckle this large - owner has extensive collection of smaller buckles of most types (see two other listings as a small sample) made for ancient Chinese Court / Mandarin wear. This buckle come in two sections, with matching carvings on each side. The buckle joining "head" is of a Dragon (the owner's Chinese birth year - Year of the Dragon). The reverse side of the buckle has round carved buttons, used to secure the buckle to the cloth sash or other material of the belt. The belt is then fastened by hooking the head of the dragon through the corresponding hole of the opposite piece. The owner acquired this item in over 15 years of residence and travel in Asia (every country in the region). Will accept overseas bids, if they include twice the USA shipping, handling and insurance charges of $25.00 as noted below, thus add $50.00 for overseas air shipment only. I'm PayPal Verified
