Antique Nationalist Chinese Flag, UN meeting SF, 1945

Even before the war had ended, Secretary of State Stinson had envisioned the first meeting of the United Nations to take place in San Francisco. The five victorious Allied powers, the US, USSR, France, UK, and China, took their seats at the San Francisco Opera House. On the table in front of them was each nation's flag. This Nationalist Chinese flag is from the original SF meeting of the UN. It is in excellent condition, with some damage to the top edge, some uneven fading. Mounted on a 36" slim wooden flag pole, with golden point finial at the top. A true historical collectible from the end of the Second World War.
