Large a ntique, pine, New England, dower/ blank et chest circa 1860 . Very nice original antique pine blanket/dower chest circa 1880, from the New England area. The lift up lid has a molded trim on three sides, the lid has the original iron strap hinges, the case is of dovetailed construction, a key hole to the front houses the original lock. To each side are the original hand-forged iron handles with heart-shaped back plates, condition is wonderful, this is an u nusually lar ge dower chest at 42" wide x 29" tall x 27.5" deep. A great antique New England pine dower chest, circa 1860.
