This auction is for a antique brass & copper bed warmer. Growing up in New England I have seen these things as decorative pieces and in the 1600's house in Norwich Connecticut that I toured as a kid.
This bed warmer is approximately: 13 inches across by 4 inches deep. The lid has a hand tooled flower pattern around it with a sun pattern in the center. The handle measures approximately: 31 inches long. The overall length is approximately: 44 inches.

This bed warmer is in good condition for its age. It is a bit beat up on the bottom side (see photo)
and around the hinge (see photo).
The turned handle may be a replacement I am not sure, but it is in great shape. This bed warmer does have a couple small splits (tears to the bottom that can be seen in the photo above) that you may want to repair. It is also a bit dirty and need a good cleaning and maybe a polish unless you like that rustic charm.
