Antique New England scrambled paperweight NO RESERVE !!! This scrambled paperweight from New England Glass Company is one of their most popular designs. This weight is jammed full of canes, filigree twists and ribbons making it a very nice example. The close-up photos will give you a good idea of the variety of ribbons and canes in this weight, including yellows, oranges and a rare hollow cross cane. This weight is from the 1860 - 1870 period, the classic period of this major American glass maker. 2 5/8âe diameter. Good condition. As is common with a weight 150 years old this example has allover scratching which could easily by repolished if desired. The base has a pontil scar and is uneven, as made.
