For auction is this New Haven Statue clock called the Clovis. Made in 1889. These were available in silver or bronze color. It looks like the silver was nickel plate and the bronze was painted over nickel plate. This one shows remnants of bronze paint but is mostly nickel plate. Max height is 20 inches to the tip of the spear. 22.75 inch base. Open escapement. Nice bezel but the porcelain dial will need replaced. If you cant find a suitable replacement a new one can be made. Contact Bob Crowder at for this. The urn has no top and never did, this model went topless according to the Tran Duy Ly New Haven book. The urn is bent on the handles and base. The base also has a bit of a crack but very minor. You may be able to straighten urn by heating and straightening. Pot metal has a low melting temperature. The flag also has a bend at the tip (pot metal) and just above the threads (steel). The back cover is missing and the pendulum bob too. Being sold as a restoration project only. Nothing is broke off or glued back, the only problems are those I mentioned. Will be packed to survive. Horse will be removed as well as urn and spear and boxed separate. No International please. Thanks, Ed NAWCC 162771 Length of base is 22.50 not 22.75 as listed
