Beautiful antique Victorian hand painted Nippon hatpin holder measuring 4 1/8" tall X 2 1/2" in diameter at its scalloped base. Lovely raised hand enameled jewels decorate all parts of this great hatpin holder. In the very center is a delicate hand painted scene depicting green trees and amethyst mountains which are reflected in a quite lake. This wonderful scene is also surrounded with raised enamel beading. Elegantly and softly ribbed form ending in the scallop shape of the base. Signed on the bottom with the Nippon Green Maple Leaf Mark. Excellent all original condition with no cracks, chips or repairs as tested with a black light.
