For your consideration, a really magnificent piece of antique Nippon in the form of a large milk jug. It is not signed.It is exquisitely decorated with flat and raised gilded accents and the top and bottom borders are a gorgeous rouge red. At several points around the rim and base, gilded reserves enclose hand painted bouquets of white and red roses in full bloom. It is quite a good size, standing 6" tall and measuring 6" from handle to spout. The floral painting is delicate and beautifully rendered, the gilding is bright and shiny, and shows only a few very minor spots of rub.It is in excellent condition. A lovely object.
