Up for auction is an incredible RARE antique Nippon hand painted vase! This piece is gorgeous and in excellent condition. It is signed on the bottom in gold and it is a mark I have not been able to identify. I believe this piece to date to the late 1800's. It measures a nice large 15 INCHES. It has raised birds in flight on both sides and beaded rims and the inside of the largest bird is also beaded. It also has some type of raised character on each side that resembles a lion but I don't think that is what it is. I'm sure it is a traditional Japanese symbol of some type. I just purchased this from the estate of a 92 year old lady in Little Rock Arkansas and it comes to you exactly as I bought it. I did not clean it because I want to leave that to the buyer. It is pretty dusty but other than that, it's in great shape. Please contact me with any questions. Additional photos are available on request. Good luck!
