You are Viewing an Exceptional piece of History and Art. This Tlingit Society Round Drum circa 1900 is in wonderful Shape considering its Age and Travel..... I acquired this Drum in an Auction in Washington State in the Mid 1990's.....I have keep it in storage for the past 4 years...and now need to make room...for other Cultural Pieces I will acquire. Hand Painted Design.....Paint Faded in Places as you can see in photos Inner Wood Rim.........I would consider really in Mint condition...except for Natural coloration..which I like...It adds character Hide Drum Head.......Very tight will not budge......Not any Damage or tears .......Sounds Wonderful DRUM STICK IS NEW.........I would feel bad not giving some sort of Beater( tom tom) with the Drum It Measures.....1 ft 5 3/4 inches across......3 inches deep If you Notice a Shine on the Drum in the Pictures......It is a Natural Preservative that was brushed on the Drum a few years back to preserve the Paint from Fading or "chipping" any more than it had, also to prevent tears or rips in the Hide ALSO VISIT MY OTHER AUCTIONS, IF YOU LIKE ''CULTURAL" ITEMS.......................KEEP THE "CULTURE" ALIVE
