ANTIQUE NORWEGIAN CARVED WOODEN SNUFF BOX - TREEN NR! This is a lovely carved snuff box dating to the late 19th or early 20th Century and in my opinion of Scandinavian and possibly Norwegian origin judging by the acanthus sprays carved into the lid and the sides. It was given a light coat of varnish, probably when it was made and this gives it an intense golden colour. It is not the earliest box you will find but it is very well carved and would fit nicely in a collection of snuffs. It is offered at a very low starting price so good luck with the bidding!
