This item along with several more listed today all came from the same French estate near the border with Spain. These items, along with several hundred more were shipped from France to the USA then to Texas to be auctioned off for the estate. This estate has been in one family since the 1770's. T were many wonderful items sold. 's one of the nice items we got. It's an older Solid Oak "Corner" Chair or 1/2 Barrel Chair with a Caned Seat. It's very close to a bobbin style or arts & craft style as well as a Ball design. This doll has been around quite while, it's "pegged" together with wooden pegs. It could easily be 100 years old or older. It's very sturdy, tight and usable. It has a very pretty Dark Oak Patina to it. It could be used in just about any room of your home and is a wonderful accent piece that would add charm to any room. It's 22 3/4" wide X 20" deep and is about 25" tall. The seat is 14 1/2" off the floor. It shows the normal signs of wear with some blemishes on the finish, dings & scratches of a chair 100 years old or older. The Caned seat is in good condition and is ready to be put to use. I have another one just like it if two are needed. Local pickups are welcome.
