Mid 1800's Tantalus This Beautiful Tantalus was made in the mid 1800's by Betjemann's. It also bears a plate on the front that states, "Benetfink & Co Cheapside London. It is 11 1/2 inches tall, 13 1/2 inches long, and 5 inches deep at base. The decanter is cut crystal and has some damage. If you look closely at the picture, you will se a crack on the neck. It does not affect the function, and is not that noticable. In fact, I almost didn't see it. It stands 8 1/2 inches tall, and is 3 inches square at the bottom. The stopper also has a flea bite and a quarter inch superficial crack. Again, not very noticable. The box is in great shape with just the usual wear of age. It is Oak with Silver handle and supports. It also comes with a key. Very nice old piece.
