This is a Chauncy Goodrich OG weight driven clock. Goodrich was a pardner in several different firms until he went on his own for a few years in 1852. Although I don't have exact date for this clocks mfg. it would be reasonable to assume that it was mfg. in the 1850's. The case has no missing veneer that I can find. Even all the corners are good. The veneer is mahogany with a nice grain pattern. I tried to show this in the close ups of the side and top of thedial pictures. It is nicer than the pictures show. The glass is intact with a nice replacement tablet in the bottom.of the door. The door is functional with both hinges and a latch. The label is very readable and in good condition. The movement runs and strikes as it should. This is a complete clock with weights.crank, and pendulam bob. It looks and runs good. I will pack this clock as carefully as I know how. The pendulam bob , crank , and weights will be wrapped and separated from the clock. The pendulum wire will be secured as well as the weight cords. I will place paper padding around the verge to help keep it in "beat" Don't forget to remove the paper. The case will be padded and protected. I will do my best to see that you get the clock undamaged and in running order. However, I will not guarantee this. Antique clocks often need adjustment after shipment.
