#0232 These old Olive Crock Jugs are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find anymore. ESPECIALLY the authentic OLD ones like this. We came upon a source for them several months ago and we just CANNOT seem to keep them in stock. NO TWO are alike! Each possesses oddities unique to itself. They are hands down one of the most collectible items in the Interior Design market right now. This Antique Italian Olive Jug would date to the 1800's. One of the only two that we've EVER seen in this design. Look at the "HANDLES"! Just Gorgeous. Still has much of the old Honey glaze around the throat. This one managed to come all the way from Italy with it's authentification lead tag still intact!!. Probably because they tied it around the throat of the piece. Just a nice added bonus as these lead tags authenticate them as being from Italy AND being true antiques. Most do not survive the journey intact plus many dealers remove them. Wonderful old patina & just the usual bumps & pits to be expected with a piece of pottery this old. Part of the base was bumped & one corner knocked off at some point. As you can see however, it still stands easily on its' own and we just mention it for the sake of accuracy because you CAN wobble it back & forth a bit. This is a BIG one.
