It has lovely hammer mark groves with beautiful brassy patina and lovely etched lines on the top. Patina of the bowl with its greenish hues adds to it beauty. The surface of this bowl is very lustrous and has spots of goldish speckles on some part of the bowl. Its walls are thick and sturdy which enables it to make long lasting multiple harmonic tones. The sound on this bowl is to die for, its deep gorgeous tone along with its vibration is just amazing. The vibration on this bowl is breath taking, you can feel the tremor pass through your body when you hit it with gong. It also sings easily and melodiously. Suitable for both gonging and rubbing. Amazing piece!Chakra associated with the note (E) of this bowl is Solar Plexus Chakra. This is the area which defines our "self-esteem". Today they are used worldwide for meditation, relaxation, healthcare and mystical and religious practice.How To Play Singing Bowl:Start by holding your bowl in the palm of your left hand (right if you are left handed) The very bottom of the bowl should be the only part of the bowl touching your hand so the body of the bowl is allowed to vibrate freely. With a wooden mallet or whatever mallet you are using, slowly start rubbing the outside rim in a clockwise circular motion, keeping an even and constant pressure on the edge of the bowl. Sometimes it is helpful to gently strike the bowl before you start the rubbing motion.
