This is a very interesting knife that pivots to flip around with an awl point. Looks like a mesquite handle . I've never seen one like it . Estimate to date to 1850-80. Forged stiff blade , 4 1/2 in blade x 9 1/2" overall. It was collected on the Jicarilla Apache reservation in Northern New Mexico about 25 years ago, From An old Santa Fe arms collection.. . . .I sell my listings WITHOUT A RESERVE , and NO returns. Study the pictures before bidding, and ask question if you are unclear about anything. We described things as best we can but we are not experts in every field. You may know more about the item then we do. You are the judge as to quality and value. I try to list several new item every other day, so keep check my listings including early western and Mexican pieces...
